We have ended the ride...

Good morning all! Yes, I know, I dropped the ball. Sorry for that, but there was so much to do! We had an AWESOME time in Milwaukee...those of you that weren't able to go, plan on going in 5 years to the 115th! The welcome that we received was something else, people held signs welcoming the bikes home, all the billboards reflected the party some how and every venue in Milwaukee did something special for Harley Riders. Is there anything that could have gotten better than that??? The entire town was VERY happy to see all of us, it is nice to actually feel so welcome in a city. The bike had to stay overnight and was to be ready by noon. A few of us rode on over to Headquarters to pick up the passes and credentials for the parade. We milled a round a little while there, then we headed back to Hal's. The bike wasn't quite ready yet, we meet up with the other four in our group and headed out to Summerfest. It really amazed me that we travelled about 720 miles North and it was so much hotter than it was at home, but we dealt with it best we could...there were lots of people at Summerfest and several concerts going on at once. Tom walked through the fountain, jeans and all to try and cool off...I opted to just stick my head in. We watched the Harley Gras Parade, quite comical. Some decided to ride the ski lift while we were there. When we left Summerfest we went to tour the museum, what a great place that is! They have so much to take in, they have the first HD made, several old ones that have 2, 3, 4 or 5 miles on them and never restored, all original. That is a definite must see for any Harley enthusiast. You can go to the 3rd level and see some in a cage that they are still working on and haven't put out in the museum yet. Did you know that Harley started making a three wheeled ride that looks something like the Spyder but never produced it? They have a couple of those there. Since we have season passes for the museum we were given bands and got to go to the Members only lounge, nice place to cool off and have an adult beverage or two. We did miss seeing Elvis's bike so it looks as though there is a road trip in the future! We went back to get the bike from Hal's and you can imagine...the computers had gone down. No worries, we got the bike and headed out for supper. We opted for a new little pub that had just opened that day and was very welcoming to the biker community. May not have been the best decision of the trip. They were out of Corn Beef, so the Rueban's were out, they cooked on order at a time so no one got there food together. But we had a great time with fellowship and visiting. On Friday some decided to journey up to Green Bay and spend the day. They had a great trip and enjoyed getting to see the Packer Stadium. The rest of us hung out around Milwaukee. It was Firefighter day at House of Harley and we had the TN Squires party at Milwaukee HD. Some commented that it was the highlight of the 110th, boy are they nuts! Or they were at a different party than I was. I would have thought Jack Daniel's would have done more for their Squire's. We did get Chris a bottle from the 110th Single Barrel, another item to dust...rain was moving in so we opted to return to the hotel and take a dip in the pool. We even started a friendly game of pool beach ball toss with the French that were in our hotel. Great times making great memories...dinner was at the Outback that was attached to the hotel and of course it was delicious! I rode with Brent in the parade on Saturday and that my friends was AMAZING! I am sure the entire city of Milwaukee was line the streets. Giving us high fives, holding glad you came, welcome home, rev it up signs, they were truly thankful we were there. To see so many people being greatful for the bikers was a sight. I tell you, you have to make arrangements to make the next party. We made our way to Kentucky on Sunday...I am sure that we were being stalked by some. Seems everywhere we stopped the came in just behind us. We concluded they must have put a tracking device on one of us. We had a nice dinner and a good evening and heading home yesterday at 9:00 a.m. When we rolled into Chattanooga we decided that supper before heading home sounded good. We went to Champy's had dinner and called it a day. I wouldn't trade the trip for anything. We were a part of the biggest Labor Day party in America! Thanks to all of you that went for making our trip special, for spening time with us and for making lifetime memories. I say let's do it again...oh yeah, we are in just a couple of weeks. Love you all! XOXOXOXO

We arrived!!!

We made it to Milwaukee yesterday about 3:00 Eastern time, what a great ride we have had. We logged another 346 miles yesterday and it has been a blast so far. We have made some new friends with a few locals here. Hung out at Hal's HD for a bit, have one with some minor bike issues. But we can adjust, adapt and overcome. That didn't get us down. We located the old Thunder Creek GM, Paul Dwight is here working at Hal's. Look's like we are hitting the road for the day...will see if we can do pics on here later. Love you all wish y'all were here with us! XOXO

We have begun....

Well we have begun our journey! We put better than 400 miles in the saddle today. Headed out of Chattanooga this morning at 7am...ventured at Bowling Green HD and headed to Louisville for lunch. If you can imagine, we travelled north and found the heat! Made a stop at the rest area just over the Indiana line, met some new friends and chatted a bit. We finally made it to Indianapolis about 4pm, of course we hit Southside HD and then headed to the hotel. After the long day we took a dip in the pool and off to dinner. We are early to bed tonight, we have an early morning! No party happening tonight...will post more tomorrow! Hope everyone has a great evening and a beautiful day! Wish y'all were here...
